"Doing the right exercises"
In physiotherapy specific exercises are very much part of the treatment program of returning patients back from injury and pain.
The exercises are adapted to patient's needs and ability at the right stage of rehabilitation. This is one of the best things you can do to help return safely from sports injury, reduce recovery time and risk of recurrance. Our physiotherapist will give advice, correct and progress exercise techniques in order for patients achieving their aims whether its related to work, hobbies or specific sports.
Special sports and rehabilitation programs are available.
These therapeutic programs depend on patient's end goal. Such a training program is often designed for patients familiar with exercise or gym work looking for a program to return from injury, improve and maximise performance. A typical progressive training program may include postural correction, stretching, strengthening, power (agility), balance (proprioception), core and cardiovascular conditioning. The objective is to provide you with a program that you can use to self-manage your condition even if you have a minor setback or are progressing and optimising performance.
