The Head V-Shape 6 was very highly rated at the SIGB Ski Test in Galtur. Our Test Team liked the feel of these at all sorts of speeds on-piste and although a little on the narrow side at 78mm to be a true all-mountain ski they were forgiving and playful when we did just dive off into the side stashes.
On piste they were an extremely good ski with easy entry into the turn, good accurate carving once established on the grippy edges and a smooth transition through to your next turn. Quite light for a predominantly piste ski this certainly didn’t appear to have a detrimental effect at all when skiing, even at high speed through the heavier snow of a March afternoon.
All in all a great piste ski for the developing upper intermediate or steadily advanced skier. If you are looking for the real drive from your skis then the extra cost of the V-Shape 8 is worth it, if not these are great fun and great value.
The V-Shape V6 is perfect for experienced skiers. It's like finding the friend you've always been looking for. A friend who can handle any terrain. A true friend who stays the course, no matter what. You can put the foot down on piste, or smoothly master off-piste terrain. In the process, you will become a better skier.
