Some fifteen years ago Scott revolutionized the world of All Mountain Skis with the introduction of the Aztec/Aztec Pro and the Mission, now at last there seems to be recognition that Herve’s legacy, with some additional input from co-designer Daniel in Scott’s Slight range of skis has brought Scott to the fore in this fabulously versatile ski range.
Light enough to Tour, powerful enough to accurately carve at over 70mph, we found them awesome. The Slight 100 is the widest of the range and gives ample float for serious backcountry skiing even with a heavy skier on board.
Turn initiation, even as wide as they are is so easy, edge grip is very, very solid and float superb. They are a good wide ski that feels narrower in the way it manoeuvres but wider in the way it floats, we just love them and feel confident you would too.
The SCOTT SLIGHT 100 offers the same cross over ski features as the smaller 93mm Slight but in a wider platform. Thanks to a revolutionary unidirectional and triaxial carbon with a lightweight composite wood core and aramid fibers in a sandwich construction, the Slight offers a lightweight ski with excellent torsional stiffness—two key factors guaranteed to create a lightweight, high performance ski unlike anything on the market. With a 100mm underfoot and average 17m radius, the SLIGHT sets a new standard for all condition skis.
