Therapeutic exercise programs
All full physiotherapy sessions will include specific therapeutic exercises related to their condition and requirements.
They all involve advice and education on exercises. In a physiotherapy session patients will receive specific exercise related to their problem, and if follow-up required a staged or progressive individualised plan developed for their specific sports or work-related injury. These exercises are adapted to each patient's needs and ability.
A special therapeutic program will include different levels of exercises depending on condition and the end goal of patient. This progressive program include exercises for any or a combination of postural correction, stretching, strengthening, power (agility), balance (proprioception), core and conditioning depending on requirements.
The aim is to have an exercise program that you can use to treat yourself when your condition is bad all the way through to normal and optimising performance. The end result is you will remain at a good and/or a higher level of wellbeing and performance.
