CORONAVIRUS (Covid-19) UPDATE: 10.11.2020
Across the UK, message from the CSP, HCPC and UK governmental health authorities to private clinics are to remain open and follow relevant safety and government guidance.
Message from CSP and Physio First further include:-
- "As an HCPC registrant, you need to do all you can to minimise risk to yourself, colleagues and patients.
- Do keep using virtual triage to risk assess, as part of infection prevention control measures, and to determine clinical need for each individual patient prior to a first session.
- Do continue to consider and offer virtual treatment as your first option where possible.
- Patients and the public should expect you to be open about your approach to infection control, so be ready to explain how you are following relevant guidance".
Stay healthy and safe.
Best Wishes

CORONAVIRUS (Covid-19) UPDATE: 15.06.2020
CLINICAL PRACTICE OPEN FOR BOOKINGS AND SERVICES IN JULY.
I hope this update finds you and your family in the best of health.
We at Snowfit are pleased to announce that the shop and bookings will be opening on July 4th. The physio clinic services aim to commence on July 18th subject to guidelines. The services will not return to normal activity as strict health and safety procedures are required to adhere to guidelines set by the Chartered Society for Physiotherapists (CSP), The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and UK government health authorities. The safety of our patients and staff is always the priority.
- Physio First state we should be confident to open services and practices to see patients face-to-face, subject to your country/area's lockdown restrictions and following the relevant safety and government guidance.
- Our governing body HCPC say as a registrant we need to do all we can to minimise risk to yourself, colleagues and patients.
- Normal face-to-face consultation remains closed following latest government updates on phased re-opening and CSPs advice. CSP state that “any clinicians need to be able to justify benefit of face-to-face consultation are demonstrable greater than the risk of transmissions”.
- Virtual or remote consultation appointments will be available from July 4th and are in many circumstances as beneficial to face-to-face consultation.
- NEW: Emergency face-to-face consultation adhering to strict safety measures according to CSP guidance. Please read below for further information.
- NEW: If uncertain, please feel free to call for a 10 to 15 minutes informal talk and hopefully I should be able to answer any questions you might have.
For an emergency appointment I would like to inform you of the following changes we have implemented to reduce the risk to you, your families and to our staff as a result of COVID-19.
- Pre-screening questionnaire and medical questionnaire to complete online less than 24 hrs before your appointment.
- There will be no reception or waiting area to limit risk of any transmission.
- All patients will need to phone the practice from outside the building or their car ON arrival and you will be advised when to enter the practice.
- Upon arrival patient’s temperature will be taken. Patients with temperatures above 37.8°C will be rescheduled. Please do not take any paracetamol prior to the appointment as this makes the readings inaccurate.
- Please wear suitable clothing for treatment, face masks or face covering to your appointment and use hand sanitation (provided) on entry and exit of the building.
- In clinic, extra time has been allotted between patients to allow thorough cleaning of all surfaces. The therapist will use PPE (visor, mask and apron).
- For patients in treatment, only the patient will be allowed in the practice. Please contact if a parent or for any other reasons somebody require attending with patient in clinic.
- Social distancing must be maintained as far as possible. Please avoid using the toilet in the practice if possible.
- Payments for treatment or items need to be made by card.
Due to these guidelines, I will be working on specific days and on limited capacity seeing far fewer patients. So if you have been waiting for face-to-face appointment please book early and be patient with us.
The shop team will wear facemasks and/or shields and hand sanitising will be ready available all over the shop. If you have any concerns, please do contact us by phone or email on [email protected].
Best Wishes
Christian Simonsen

DONJOY FITTING CENTRE DATE:01.12.2019
Snowfit is pleased to announce that we have become the official Fitting Centre and provider of DONJOY braces and supports in Norfolk. Our in-store physiotherapist Christian has received specialist training from DJO Global, with special thanks to Craig Wilson, to give advice on knee braces and to measure bespoke DonJoy Defiance 3 custom braces.
The Defiance III (bespoke), Armour, FP and OA Adjuster 3 knee braces depicted provide outstanding support to ligaments, cartilage (menisci) and/or more degenerative conditions. The technical features of DonJoy knee braces with a Fourcepoint hinged system mean they are great for knee prevention, protection and rehabilitation. The braces are designed for high impact sports such as skiing (professionals choice), but also for sports such as tennis, rugby, football, horse back riding, golf, motocross, cycling etc.
Below you will find a selection of our demo range. These are available for customers and clients to come and try out in the shop. Our Physio will complete an assessment to ensure customers’ get the correct brace, fitting and size to match with your specific functional requirements and/or sport.
The braces we hope will help people overcome aches, pains and injuries, hopefully allowing you back on the slopes skiing, or to continue with any other activities and/or sports you love doing.
