It’s a big broad fish tail of a ski that is a “one size fits all” and it does. The width is sufficient to give great float for even the heaviest skiers in the softest snow so the fact that there isn’t a monstrous 190+ length available shouldn’t spoil your fun.
Most of the Pescado’s we have sold have gone to Japanese buyers or skiers going out to Japan to do a season, so that does give the game away really. Fun, floaty and fabulous, yes it’s on piste performance might not be anything to write home about but even that if quite acceptable for a really wide ski and you wouldn’t be buying these to impress your friends with your “short swing technique”!
They are a ski to do a specific job and that’s to ski the deep backcountry, if that’s your agenda then these need to be on your list of skis for serious consideration.
Line Skis Say:
The LINE Pescado is the best ski for powder surfing. With a swallowtail design, soft flex, and a massive shovel (nose), the Pescado is made to float through deep snow with ease. A directional back-mounted stance allows the tail of the ski to sink in deeper snow, thus raising the tip and giving you more control on those deep days. Equipped with a Partly Cloudy™ Core and new ABS sidewalls, the Pescado continues to be one of the most innovative, unique, and insanely-fun powder skis on the market.
