The whole ranger range is great for all over the mountain. The 98ti is perfect if you want to expierence all over the hill. It's widith makes it great if you want to adventure away from the pistes and into the back country. The large carbon rocker gives it great float, so you never will feel like you're going to sink into the snow.
On piste it also works really, with the titanium it gives you stiffness and stability so never feels like its going to give up on you. with the underfoot width being 98mm and progressing upto 132mm it gives you the feel of being like a piste ski. The large rocker comes into play when on piste as well, because it starts quite far back on the ski you can have a longer ski that feels shorter.
Overall, we loved this ski on test. It's great on and off the piste and really easy to get on with.
Whether it's turning in extreme powder or tough terrain, this ski gives you manoeuvrability and stability wherever you go, thanks to the combination of Air tec Ti and its Carbon Nose. Aero shape means added weight reduction.
With its Sandwich Sidewall Construction, the Ranger 98 Ti ranks among the supreme high-performance models in the freeride segment. The wood core and sidewalls are combined in a very high-quality sandwich construction. This gives you high stability and good edge grip.
The width of 98 mm stands on the one side for long, stable powder turns. On the other hand, it allows quick, agile turns which are useful in wooded areas, for example. With a 132-98-122 sidecut, its radius is 18 metres at a length of 180 cm.
The Freeski ROCKER is an absolute must-have for the Ranger 98 Ti. The shorter contact length of the ski is designed for extreme conditions such as those you encounter in freeriding. This means it is easy to turn and saves energy in all situations.
