We Say:-
The Nordica Astral skis are, in our tester's opinions, hugely underrated. The Astral 78 is the narrowest of the range and reminds us in many ways of the hugely successful Scott Maya of a few years back.
They are very forgiving but at the same time they will support you through to a good level of advanced skiing as long as you are not exceptionally dynamic in your skiing; that aside they are a very accomplished ladies all mountain for those looking to still spend most of their time on piste.
Nordica says:-
Confident and versatile, the Astral 78 is your partner in progression. Simply put, its stable and playful ride is designed to make skiing easier. And yet, no matter your skills, it won’t hold you back. Its unique Hex Bridge construction pairs a full wood core with a lightweight matrix of metal that dampens vibrations, providing a smooth and predictable ride that’s especially easy to manoeuvre. The Astral 78’s classic, squared-off tail shape effortlessly transitions between turns and further enhances edge hold on groomers. And for additional versatility, the ski sports an early rise tip that readily navigates through crud and mixed terrain. Incredibly balanced, the Astral 78 is at home on any trail.
