Volkl Mantra All Mountain Ski

All skis are waxed, brushed out and carefully packed

We say-
The addition of a tip rocker has made the Mantra a little more playful and yet as a full on freeride weapon has taken nothing from its freeride heritage. Cleverly tweaked to produce an exceptional ski in traditional Mantra colours. A fabulously versatile ski, awesome edge hold, sublime smoothness and seamless transition from one turn to the other, with powerful drive to drive through crud or anything else thrown at them. The rocker upgrade in 2012 gave the Mantra a great lift last season and we only had positive feedback from our customers who took them. Buy, enjoy and rewind for months the fun you had, but, be warned, they could cost you a second and even third trip this coming season as once owned you’ll want to ride them as often as you possibly can.

They say-
One of the most versatile skis ever, the Mantra features a shape of 132-98-118 combined with tip rocker. The wide profile floats in powder, while the carefully matched early rise shape pulls into the turn and maneuvers in all snow conditions with ease. For good skiers who want a powder ski that you can also ride when the mountain turns icy, the Mantra is an easy decision.

Im 6'4", 115kg. Just wondering if the Marker Griffins would be alright for me? Also would the 184 or 177 Mantra be a better option? I ski in New Zealand and would be about an advanced skiier

    Hellow Andrew,

Thanks for your enquiry and yes the Griffon's would be an excellent choice; a useful alternative would be the Head or Fischer Attack 13's, these are all good bindings, i think the Griffon's still edge it because of the sliding release plate under the ball of the foot.

As regards the Mantra, definitely the 184's, it's a great length, still manoeuvrable enough and yet with great float and high speed cruising stability.  I'm 6ft 2in, 90kg and 60years old, I love the 177's but then I don't have quite the energy I used to.

Hope this helps, any further questions, do come back to us..

    Kind regards

    John and Team at Snowfit
