    Hello Deborah

Thanks for your enquiry about the Tecnica boots.  Overall they are a similar fit and feel, the flex is certainly comparable (not all boots of the same flex are) so are certainly a possible next pair for you.

However, are your existing Magnum's, really "shot" already?  If you've run them a couple of full season's away then I can understand it but if they are predominantly "holiday boots", still fit well and perform to the level you require then, personally, I'd do everything I could to persuade you not to change.

If you have by necessity, got to get new boots, then the Ten 2 85W would, I think be a serious contender, as would the Rossignol Alltrack's and Dalbello Avanti 85W.

Are you far from us, or from any good ski shop with experienced and good bootfitters?  There is no substitute for spending a good couple of hours trying on several pairs to assess their suitability.

Do feel free to give us a call at the shop for further advice, or, if you are within reasonable travelling distance then do come and see us.  Hope this helps.

    Kind regards
