The Slayblade already has a dedicated following, this board offers a flat cambered ride that can attack the whole mountain. Despite what K2 may say our testers felt that the board was a bit stiffer this year than last, but this did not put anyone off it. Its super solid over hard pack and ice. The Harsh Mellow dampeners really soak up the judders first thing in the morning. The new pre- loaded olliebar offers so much pop it can take you by surprise. The Slayblade is also quick like you would not believe. Ok, so it may not be the best for jibbing and generally playing about but if you want a proper snowboard to carve up the pistes, fly of kickers and lay fresh tracks then look no further. Built in place in a pre-loaded, cambered shape it solves the concern that rocker board don't have the pop camber board have. Made with a secret layup of carbon, Kevlar and urethane layers, the ollie bar is positioned in the center of the board between the binding inserts. Strong ollies and pressing power doesn't come from the tail alone. The backbone center section is actually more critical for smooth even pressure. You gotta try it to believe the pop.
