Ortovox Merino La Grave Mens Jacket

The "La Grave" pants is absolutely unique in the market and convinces by its many features at a weight of just 500 g. The suspender system is unbeatable. The suspenders are all located in the front area of the pants and thus allow a complete opening at the back of the pants without having to take off the outer clothing - the so-called "easy release system". On the sides we have used a continuous two-way zipper, making it easy to put on the pants. Ski boots or crampons do not have to be pulled out in order to dress. The knees are slightly preformed to create an ergonomic fit. We have integrated gaiters in the leg bottoms and also placed sharp edge protections on the insides. Last but not least, a waterproof pouch is integrated in the seat area to protect documents or electronic items from water.

Question:

Hi, Do you have a size guide for these pants and do they have any insulation inside them? Thanks Simon

    Hello Simon,

Thanks for your enquiry about the Ortovox kit which comes up pretyy average sizing when compared to other brands, a medium is classic 32/34" waist, large at 34/36" and X large 36/39".  The leg lengths are "matching" with inside legs of approx 32" for M, 33" for L and 34" for XL.

The insulation is a thin layer of Merino wool fibres bonded to the inside of the exterior fabric and membrane, so a little warmer than just the basic unlined shell but in anything other than Springlike conditions these need, like so many high tech garments these days, to be worn with a supporting Base Layer system for normall conditions, say plus 3 downd to minus 12C , maybe adding a midlayer if it is really cold.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards

Question:

Are these just a shell or do they have insulation incorporated. Do they match your Merino guardian shell jacket?

    Good Evening Shawn,

Thanks for your enquiry and your earlier order of the Jacket.  These pants are the matching ones for the Jacket you've ordered with the Merino bonded to the outer, to make them super light, comfortable to wear and ideal for high energy sports in cold environments.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards
