All mountain ski with bindings

All skis are waxed, brushed out and carefully packed

We say:-

The 85mm waist width is the width at which we feel real all mountain skis start these days.  These give a very smooth ride but with enough power when pushed to give exciting skiing across most terrain and in most snow conditions.

If you are a piste cruiser looking for a ski that will give you a fighting chance of fun in the sidestashes then these are well worth serious consideration. If you are aiming to be closer to 50/50 on-piste/off-piste then the 90's (which we felt were the pick of the range) are probably the better bet.

Head says:-

"If you consider yourself as a freerider who also likes to carve, or as a carver who likes to freeride every now and then this is your ski. Features: Sandwich Cap Construction and the "now everybody can ski better" ERA 3.0 technology. The 85 mm width is the choice of freeriders who know there will be at least a day of hard pack for every powder day."

I note that the head rev 85 pro is more expensive than the same with SW at the end.how is the SW ski different?

    Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your enquiry about the Rev 85 Pro skis.  The annotation after the "85" determines whether the skis come with the PRD 12 bindings on the PR (Power rail) pre-mounted plate or whether they come as a flat-top ski, ie, no pre-mounted plate and the bindings (the customers specific choice) just drilled in by the ski tech.

Some shops have taken the skis as a flat -top and are putting various bindings with them e.g. the Attack 13 or  even Markers Griffon's, making the set of skis and bindings more expensive, others have the standard package with the PRD 12 bindings and some have downgraded the bindings to the noticeably cheaper and less robust PR11's, using the same rail binding format.

    Hope this helps

    Kind regards

    John and Team at Snowfit
