Question:

is there a difference between the mens and womans skis?

Answers:

    Hello Michael,

Thanks for the enquiry, the answer is effectively twofold;-

firstly the skis are determined men's or women's by their length, 165 being the minimum snow length for adult men and whilst most women ski the ladies minimum length for a combination of speed and agility, some more powerful lady racers do ski the slightly longer 158cm skis which require a fraction more effort to turn but which are a fraction quicker over the snow.

Within the confines of these lengths, Fischer also manufacture two stiffnesses, Stiff and the Medium.  In terms of flexing the Stiff obviously requires a more aggressive skier to get the best out of them so suit the bigger, more powerful racers, the Medium not so much effort so suiting the smaller, more "finesse" type of racer.

Hope this helps, do give us a call if it would help to chat anything through to clarify things in your own mind.

    Kind regards The Snowfit Team
